Jo Sheppard is a highly regarded leader across multiple business, agricultural and Government sectors. As the current CEO of QLD Farmers Federation and Chair of Eco-Markets Australia, Jo brings a wealth of professionalism, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement as well as an extensive network that has been built over decades. With her diverse skillset she is comfortable in any environment from meeting with a landholder in Cunnamulla to a Minister or Director-General at the top of 1 William St in Brisbane. Her superpower is her ability to cut through the noise, focus on practical, real-world solutions through engagement across all stakeholders and turn strategy into outcomes.

Jo holds a Bachelor of Business (University of Sydney), a Diploma in Executive Leadership (Oxford University) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has a demonstrated track record of being able to deliver through former roles including serving as Director of Stakeholder Engagement at the University of Southern Queensland, CEO of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, Director on the board of Sunwater, Commissioner with QLD Local Government Grants Commission and Mayor of Paroo Shire Council in South West Queensland. Jo has also run her own business in the Vocational Education and Training sector delivering training across Queensland and New South Wales.

A woolgrower's daughter and a School of the Air graduate, Jo is the proud mother of three boys and when she is not working, spends endless hours travelling to and from sporting events and barracking from the sidelines supporting her sons' wide range of sporting interests.
